Today we’ve been scaling new heights! Literally.
A nearby church had a couple of broken window panes and they were too high and awkward to reach by a ladder or even scaffolding. So the church hired a MEWP (Mobile Elevating Working Platform), aka a cherry-picker. Fortunately the weekend storms had abated and it was safe to proceed, so after a quick tour of the controls, Andy was up removing the old damaged glass and creating a cardboard replacement template. Back down to cut the glass and back up to fit and cement into place.
By the time he’d done two, he was quite the pro at operating the machinery.
Not sure that even the MEWP will get the small saplings growing on the ledge of the steeple though …
